DFS Open Files and Server Failure

hello

in current setup have dfs name spacing , dfs replication configured between primary data server , secondary data server (located off site).

i having discussion 1 of colleagues how dfs works , why , question came couldn't answer. i've had around net , couldn't find the answer... anyways, question "in event of server failure or reboot on primary dfs namespace/ replication server, happen file open? connect secondary server when clicked save? or lose work?"

i guess make sense if user clicks save after failure , dfs picks failure , moves saved file replication partner.

does know happen in scenario?

zeni
