Drive space on C when copying files to a different partition

i've installed server 2008 on hard drive small partition os (c:), , large partition data (d:).  i've changed locations various user folders such "documents" , "music" d partition.  trying copy many files d external drive, when copy more files there free space on os partition, tells me there not enough space in "administrator" folder.

is there way avoid free space limitations of c drive when copying different partition?

hi customer,

as description, moved "documents" , "music" folder d partition. when copy files external drive new location of "documents" after open document start button, prompt error "there not enough space in administrator folder". performed test on side , reproduce it.

reproduce steps:

1. move administrator's "documents" default location "c:\users\administrator\documents" "d:\documents"

2. c partition has 711mb free space

d partition has 14.1gb free space

3.  click start menu, click documents launch via windows explorer. double check , verify  the location "d:\documents" in address bar. copy 16.9gb size file e partition windows explorer, system prompt error message followed

"there no enough space on administrator. need additional 1.00gb copy these files"

however, there 14.lgb free space on d partition.

4. when launch windows explorer , open new location "d:\documents", , copy same 16.9gb size file e partition d:\documents success.

workaround:

1. open windows explorer.

2. drag , drop files external driver new location on d partition.

3. please verify there enough free space on d partition save these files.

hope helps. report issue our product group.
