Home Directory share being accessed by non bound computers

here's situation:

- public k-12 school

- users have ad accounts

- school-owned computers bound domain , mount user's home directory @ logon

- many owned pc's , mac not bound domain need access file server

- 2 seperate shares on file server, 1 staff share , 1 student share home directories in them (the home directories not shares)

when staff use unbound pc , macs connect staff share see own home directory in share when students use unbound computers connect student share see students' home directories.  if a student tries enter student's home directory looks empty , have no rights write in folder own.  i've compared share permissions , the and folder permissions on staff , students share , neither set inherit security settings parent and same still staff see home while students see homes in share.

my question is, "what take make share home directories in when users browse see own home directory?

thanks in advance

bryan

hi bryan,

please correct me if there misunderstanding.

for example, there staff1, student1 , student2 accounts. when staff1 logon computer not in domain, can see own home directory. when student1 logon same computer, can still both home directories of student1 , student2. when accessing home directory of student2, empty , cannot create file in it.

if correct, know exact permission setting of home direcotries of staff1 , student1.

meanwhile abe can show folders users who have permission. can find in mmc --- share , storage management --- sharing tab of shared folder --- advanced.

for windows 2003 need install this:
