i'm scratching head on one. have 2 hyper-v hosts.  each hyper-v host has 1 virtual machine.  we'll call them vm1 , vm2. each hyper-v host points shared iscsi lun - e:\hyperv. if @ settings vm1 virtual hard disk pointing e:\hyperv\vm1.vhd.  sounds ok but... if @ settings vm2 virtual hard disk pointing e:\hyperv\vm1.vhd.  how can possible? @ first thought maybe each vm using differencing disk vm1.vhd being parent.  if case settings should pointing respective differencing disks each vm, not parenting disk.  correct? firstly, wrong assumptions , secondly, if nothing heck going on here? thanks i suspect because shared iscsi lun presented each host using same driver letter , path. i suspect cannot have both of these vms running @ same time.  should cause problems @ both host , vm levels if allowed happen. and yes, if there differencing disks involved should see differencing disk vhd not parent disk. curious - version of hyper-v running? it sounds if configuraiton dupl

we have 2 fax servers.  1 strictly inbound faxes , other strictly outbound.   problem affects outbound faxes.   doesn't happen send fax , busy signals recipient end result in fatal errors , fax not go thru recipient "part" of fax in multiple copies (often on 5 times).   i'm guessing because fax queued @ recipient end before completes why multiple copies?  1 other note:  successful sending faxes same recipient on other occassions.  confusing problem. i have server (just rebuilt) running windows 2003 std. installed sql server 2005 express on server needed application. before installed application applied sql server 2005 express sp3 server. installed application. install created named instance "xyz". now wsus reporting sql server 2005 express sp3 needed on server. ran install through wsus...everything said installed correctly yet wsus still thinks this server needs update. ran through install manually (instead of using wsus) , updated named instance "xyz" created application install. rebooted server. after reboot wsus still reporting needs sql update. reran update , determined version of both instances (default, , xyz) show version 9.3.4035. how wsus detect both instances have been updated stop reporting server missing update? thanks. thanks reply. believe able resolved. had manually run install again, select "default instance". created instance , applied sp3. once did wsus message went away.

señores buenas tardes, tengo un servidor con windows server 2008, el cual presenta un rendimiento muy pobre para todas sus funciones, por ejemplo al inicar el acceso remoto, compartir archivos, servicios web etc. antes la respuesta era normal, pero de un tiempo para aca esta cada dia peor alguien me puede colaborar informandome que hacer la configuracion es la siguiente server compaq proliant ml350 windows server standar sp2 procesador xeon 2.8 ghz memoria ram 11gb os 32bits 300 gb dd piensa que cuanto ejecutas algo con terminal services, todo el procesamiento y recursos lo lleva el servidor. debes ver, si realmente aguantan 15 desarrolladores la vez.   usa las funciones de ts para comprobar que son estos usuarios los que se estan quedando con la cpu, y como te comente, para ir acontando el posible problema, revisa el server una hora que no tenga todos estos usuarios enganchados, pruebalo y nos vas diendo. un saludo.

Далее обнаружил, что при запуске непосредственно на сервере оснастки Лицензирование сервера терминалов выдает ошибку - отсутствует mstlsapi.dll Данная библиотека была найдена где-то глубоко внутри в подпапках ОС (типа c:\windows\xxxxx\7fdkrkufg4453\, точный путь не запомнил, скопировал ее в c:\windows\system32, теперь при запуске оснастки пишет: licmgr.exe -"Ошибка при запуске приложения (0xc000007b).
