hi all we have client looking use dfs-r replication replicate there site server data single server within a data-centre. can backed a centralised location. we have started process within the data-centre,biulding 2008r2 server master server ( schema v47) i believe there have been huge oversight in project, have found out there servers 2003 not 2003r2 thought, , i cannot find replication group snap-in anywhere on server. am right in thinking 2003 not support standalone replication groups, or if supported there need install working. please please if have solutions, upgrading servers not option. many thank in advance chris dfsr added r2. you'll need 2nd install disc 2003 r2 add dfsr server (and proper license, of course). went through same thing , able dfsr working. clear, upgrading 2003 r2 isn't in-place upgrade, adds things dfsr , other r2 options "add windows components." sure install 2003 r2 hotfixes well.  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958802

i relatively new networking, please excuse me if do not provide enough detail.  i willing answer whatever questions arise. i have server running 08r2 in my company's dmz, not joined domain.  it rd license host.   using application requires rd gateway configured rdp devices internal our network.  i have configured rd gateway caps & raps valid , correctly named ssl cert security.  however, when i attempt to test gateway (which in dmz) device (internal network) getting error certificate has expired or has been revoked.  my thought since certificate has fqdn device not joined domain, possibly name mismatch causing error.  any can provide appreciated! we have found problem , have resolved it.  web application installed added re-direction in iis across port 443.  conflict rds, uses port 443.  once removed re-direct iis, able use rd gateway on server.  moving rd gateway device not have issue.
