dear all,            have built nic team of 2 physical interfaces.  created team interfaces can assign more networks nic team, team interfaces not working.  when provide tcpip settings nic team, can response nic team, when put tcpip settings on team interfaces, no response.  team interfaces unable receive packets though sending packets away.  wrong?  worked once physical nics configured promiscuous mode.  literally wasted half week due negligence network team. thanks anyways. hi have customer that are looking advice on how reduce number of print queues or print management.they have around 300 employees with around 30 branch offices. there around 40 network printers configured 200 print queues.  every printer configured every option printer has, configured print queue. example konica minolta bizhub c220 has option have 3 trays , can print in both color , noncolor, equals 6 print queues. print queues named according to: officename-printermodel-color/noncolor-tray, example: nyc-kmc220-co-tray1. results in lot of print queues lot more user friendly user needs choose right printer right options instead of going properties of printer it. time consuming staff configure every time there new printer. if has advice please help.   train users configure themselves?? it seems have made 'easy' staff , making change requires them more select printer not acceptable. the solution in place sounds like an administrative nightmare, try 80 print

i've tried fix can't seem find way.  the disks included below.  problem physicaldisk0 failing , not remove storage pool.  if unplug drive can't mount virtual disk @ all.  have shut server down , reattach drive mount virtual disk. trying remove powershell nets this: physicaldisk : 1 of physical disks specified not removed because still in use. i've tried can find.  added physicaldisk 7 take on 0 no matter how many times run repair virtual disk remains in degraded state.  other blowing away entire pool can't think of way fix this... i deleted virtual disk , second did remove disk pool no problems. hi all, wanted ask general (or specific) clarification on how best handle followig. first configuration background: single-server environment, 2003 r2 dc/file server. replacing new 2008 r2 machine, again dc , file server. current mix of desktop systems include xp, vista, , 7.  users set roaming profiles.  so issue there: as result, 2003 system has user master folder profiles within it, , of course beacuase of desktop os mix, there profile, profile.v2, , profile.v2.v2 folders many users have @ least 2 profiles floating around.  unfortunately, these users still float between systems it's not can consider xp profile folder obsolete.  so i'm wondering how should stuff moved on new server that'll in new domain, , link them newly created users there.  after having researched such things usmt , other options, ultiamtely, decision made copy profile folders over (taking ownership necessary allow me carry out without access denied errors), , once on new server, asso

hi, i've created custom environment variable i've setup on 2 computers , domain controllers.  want use in profile path in user properties.  when users log in variable taken literally rather being converted value.  example \\fileserver\share\user\%myenv%.v2 generated rather \\fileserver\share\user\envdata.v2 if add in built-in variable such %os%, converts time use custom variable windows doesn't use during logon process.  if open explorer , type in path data should works fine windows picking variable, not using during logon process.  can't seem find technet article states custom variables can't used in profile paths. has else come across this? thanks, tim a corrupt local policy cache preventing gpo sets custom variable on file server.  cache cleared.  problem solved.
