i have rds configured windows server 2012, rd session host , rd web access. have published set of remoteapp programs  in 'quicksessioncollections'. have exposed rdweb external networks different domain name , different port (firewall). able connect rdweb correctly, authentication goes through , able see list of remoteapps published. when accessed rdweb public  internet, see published apps , resources files (.rdp file), resource file has internal name , port number. ("server port", "full address" in .rdp file) 1. there way customize rdweb change (ts) server name , port ? hi all, we changed gpo 3 weeks ago , these changes seem have been replicated across 4 dcs ok. new gpo settings correct on present machines in our environment. our problem when build new machines via sccm. of machines pick old gpo settings though when run 'gpresult /r' tells me has synced correct dc , picking linked gpos rsop shows picking old settings on 1 gpo changed 3 weeks back. if  i run gpupdate /sync seems resolve error know , why machine first getting old settings , how can stop having run gpupdate /sync every time build new machine? thanks hi andrew, you mentioned dc ip 172.30.40.33. however, dns ips' are  172.30.40.25 , 172.30.40.26 & 172.20.0.21. these nearest dcs' ? can run command "nltest /sc_query:domain name" , see if gives error? on domain controllers, can check if there error event logs in dfsr or frs? see error event log in client machines related group policy? -umesh.s.k

i set server 2008 r2 server , created file structure , users. set permissions accessing files , worked fine. set scanner scan files , save them pdfs on network share. can put credentials in user name , password folder. working fine access folders computers using user name , password. scanner saving pdfs folder using stored username , password had entered in.   then had change server dc. installed users still there , set still able access shared folders computers using user names , passwords. scanner had not changed @ says wrong user name , password.   i have tried changing the user name domainname/username username , else think of changing it including computername/username. there way should typing in usernames or there something i have change in server allow scanner to authenticate. again computers can access the folders fine same user names , passwords used before. hello, have tried backslash instead of forward slash? domain\username have created new user? new

hi, i installed ubuntu 12.04 withouth many troubles, don networking, i created virtual swith internet access. i got following message: degraded (integration services upgrade required) actually, canonical (the folks behind ubuntu) date linux ics of of distros. i built ubuntu , centos vms on server 2012 hyper-v , had 0 issues / gotchas ubuntu (it worked). for centos 1 workaround needed enter expert mode during installation, , sure attach legacy nic installer detect it, other thing had enable automatic network detection networking stack automatically load @ boot. i did not need these things ubuntu, except make sure vm had nic. i have question regarding active directory replication - intra-site replication. textbook seems unclear subject, , confused on couple of points. consider following facts moac textbook provides: - kcc updates replication topology every 15 minutes - "rule of 3" means there should no more 3 'network hops' away originating domain controller - except change marked urgent, domain controller hold onto change 5 minutes before sending off other domain controllers. otherwise, change sent immediately. now. book says following. hi there,   about 6 hours ago 1 of servers, happens run hyper-v role 2 partitions (host , single virtualised instance), experienced 0x0002001 stop error. i did googling around , apparently 0x2001 hyper-v-related bugcheck. there isn't information available on msdn or technet code-specific documentation, , saw how in earlier thread having same problem me . the full event log is: the computer has rebooted bugcheck. bugcheck was: 0x00020001 (0x0000000000000011, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000001005, 0xfffff880002deb30). dump saved in: c:\windows\memory.dmp. i've saved memory.dmp file (it's 545mb in size) if anyone's interested in it. can confirm if hyper-v related, underlying cause was, , can prevent happening again? thanks   hi david which version of hyper-v running? all updates in place? what type of hardware platform? what bios revision? if post helpful, please mark such ________________________________________ alessandro card

first off servers 2008r2 (latest updates installed) w/forest-domain 2008r2, cas (rca, sca) installed on dcs vms (hyperv 2008r2).  utilize scm 2.5 gpo settings on dcs (don't know if potential issues due security settings?). initially set w/out issue , ran fine.  poking around server yesterday , noticed have errors showing on enterprise pki.  sca has following unable download errors showing: aia location #2  http://wwwca/certenroll/servername.domain.local_servername-sca.crt deltacrl location #2  http://wwwca/certenroll/servername-sca.crl cdp location #2  http://wwwca/certenroll/servername-sca.crl rca has following unable download errors showing: aia location #1  http://wwwca/certenroll/servername-rca.crt cdp location #1  http://wwwca/certenroll/servername-rca.crl all other locations in sca register ok, no other locations set in rca.  when try access http locations via ie/ff, error 500 - internal server error.  checked authentication on certenroll folder in ii
