i need in determining cause if failure of cluster nodes. this 2 node cluster running approximately ten clustered sql server instances. clustered luns being served netapp device via fiber channel. cluster has been running fine on year entire cluster crashed. unaware of changing on either node. it started out sql instance failing , forth few times - reason unknown. 1 of nodes blue screened, few minutes later other blue screened. attempts restart either node kept resulting in blue screens. dump indicated blue screen occurring in clusres.dll on both nodes. we repaired cluster offlining of luns, removing them cluster storage, onlining luns, , adding them cluster 1 one. found several had become corrupt , not mounted. had reformat drives,  rebuild sql instances , restore databases. whether corrupt volumes cause of failure or result of failure not known. unfortunately cant @ sql server logs servers disks belonged since logs on disks themselves. eight days later, exact same th

edit:  able work around this.  i've read, bare metal restore physical virtual machine not supported, that's tried , worked beautifully.  thing went right today. so, disk2vhd isn't needed (and we've seen, didn't work).  instead took these steps: 1. control panel -> file history.  after finishes searching drives, @ bottom left of page link system image backup.  run it, , select target drive backup.  used 64gb key drive.  next, show volumes backed up.  automatically selects (and cannot deselect) volumes required bare metal restore.  additional volumes optional.  you'll want deselect target drive backup. 2. after backup complete, either move drive on hyper-v host or access on network. 3. in hyper-v manager, create vhdx virtual disk backup drive.  create blank vhdx @ least size of original machine's system disk (which may have multiple volumes).  in case, 2tb disk, added 128gb sure.  isn't size of image backup, it's size of disk image bac

hi, i using terminal server services on windows 2003 ent edition. users using thin clients , connect server using rdp. i have enabled "use remote control option" without requiring user permission , working fine. found normal users (non administrators) opening task manager , going users tab , taking remote control of other users. the permissions tab in rdp conection configured contains following ids administrators, local service, network service , system. havent added other ids there. i want prevent normal users. users in administrative group should able take remote control. so how can prevent happening. please me out. vijayendra possible have group policy might override local settings remote control permissions?  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc781839.aspx Windows Server  >
