Windows 2008 R2 Firewall or Not

hi all,

i in process of deciding if should enable firewalls on our windows 2008 r2 servers. have 25 servers in production around 1200 clients. in past we've never had firewalls enabled internally thinking it's time step our security.

just thoughts on if use or don't use firewall on internal network.

regards,

mark

hello,

if use firewall have assure ports opened ad replication , other serviecs use, rdp, ntp, smpt, etc.

our networks are separated internet , don't use firewalls. have strict policies users have sign , until way works. depends on you. internet access internal network should have central firewall cisco asa example.
