hi, have problem on 1 of our servers, each day 3 new hidden files appear under c:\users\username: ntuser.dat.........tm.blf ntuser.dat..........tmcontainer00000000000000000001.regtrans-ms ntuser.dat..........tmcontainer00000000000000000002.regtrans-ms we 3 similiar files appearing under c:\users\username\appdata\local\microsoft\windows user.dat @ start instead of ntuser.dat. appear everyday @ 9:30pm when scheduled task finishes run under username. 3 files take 1mb of storage, after awhile consume fair bit of space. can me identify why getting created , how can stop it. i've been able find, 1 set of files normal, older ones not. cheers daniel does constitute answer? hi, has deployed tiered storage spaces + jbods , can share real world experience on performance solution provides? i've read design articles microsoft: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/15200.storage-spaces-designing-for-performance.aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn554250.aspx not talk performance under various conditions. configuration per jbod 12 ssd , 48 large capacity nl-sas disks. nl-sas 7200rpm disks not perform under random io , type of io virtual machines tend generate. wonder performance of vms need access cold blocks stored on nl-sas tier or when active dataset grows beyond ssd tier size. seems me while vms on ssd tier fast, vms on nl-sas tier slow , continue slow until tiering job move blocks ssd tier. scary events bootstorms , mass-updates when active dataset grows large compared normal operation. i'm considering following deployment: 4 node sofs cluster + 4x 60 bay jbods capacity = @ least
