hello, having issue microsoft exchange 2010 services not automatically starting on startup. i have: 1x microsoft windows server 2008 r2 x64 - running domain controller 1x microsoft windows server 2008 r2 x64 - running client of domain, microsoft exchange 2010 installed. everything works - except various services not startup automatically. have manually start them , works fine, them start automatically. systems both virtualised, running under vmware esxi server appropriate system resources. have changed startup automatic automatic (delayed) incase of dependencies on network adaptors, domain connections etc. services on exchange server: here can see 1 hour after reboot various services have not automatically started. any assistance appreciated. regards, samuel hi zhang, at time of posting, believed simple os issue regarding service not starting. the issue has been resolved, discovered there firewall rule on domain controller preventing exchange server

i have application running on server tcp socket connection server b. if server b goes off line (network cable pull, simulated failure, power cable pull), expect application running on server receive i/o exception, notifying application wrong. if 2 applications run on host servers, expected behavior (i/o exception) happens within few seconds every time. when run them in operating systems hosted in hyper-v , (i hate "sometimes") exception isn't thrown several minutes, other times patience runs out (typically after 10 minutes or so) before exception fires. has seen or heard of this? pointers? in advance! we have 7 server 2003 std svc pk 2 randomly ceasing rpc  communication  everything.  way servers physical restart. review of event log afterwards shows error event id 1000 such "faulting application svchost.exe, version 5.2.3790.3959, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.4455, fault address 0x000417df."   occurs time of failure.  the faulting application varies within half hour following errors appears:- "the time service encountered error , forced shut down. error was: 0x800706bb: rpc server busy complete operation." all shares become inaccessible and  cannot log on server either remotely or @ console.  physical restart required. happening on 7 out of 8 domain controllers. unnaffected domain controller the  primary dc our environment  2 other server 2003 std showing similar symptopms recover once local dc restarted. servers have current updates installed hello, check out following article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932762/en-us best regards mein

hello all i've purchased: windows server 2008 enterprise edition w/ hyper-v 8 device cal's 2 volume licenses vista/xp pro 3 volume licenses office 2007 pro i've created our network pertaining of: one physical server w/ 2008 enteprise (core) host os; and 3 (2) 2008 enteprise virtual (guest) machines. active directory running three desktops running xp pro.  1 of these should using purchased xp license.  others purchased. two laptops running xp pro.  purchased. one laptop running vista business.  previoucsly purchased. possibly 2 remote machines running xp pro. question how licensing: 1. how activate server license have?  understanding because i'm running 3 machines virtually, same license can used all. 2. how activate cal's?  how tell windows machines should using device cal's?  i've not been able find info on this. 3. how activate volume license (assume mks way go, given size of our network) server 2008 machine xp pro  machine?
