Migrate VM from Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Cluster to Windows 2012 R2 Cluster

hello,

i am trying move virtual machines windows 2008 r2 sp1 hyper-v cluster new windows 2012 r2 hyper-v cluster.

i followed recommedation of following link http://blogs.msdn.com/b/clustering/archive/2012/06/25/10323434.aspx?pageindex=3#comments

i've done tests move virtual machine , works fine , had problems because in resource volume migrated virtual disks stored belonging virtual machines on other nodes in cluster of windows 2008 r2.

so when resource volume dismounted in windows 2008 r2 cluster recommended guide, virtual machines have not yet migrated stop working properly.

is there way make migration of virtual machines only, without migrating entire volume ?

the guide suggests migration can done using scvmm 2012, not find guide using scvmm 2012 migration .

i appreciate advice can give me .

thank you.

best regards,

manuel

manuel´s microsoft forums threads

the method described in blog post assumes whole volume going moved. impossible share single drive between 2 different clusters, cannot have vms on drive being hosted 1 cluster , other vms on drive being hosted on cluster. way can accomplish export 2008 cluster , import (to different volume) on 2012 cluster.
