NTFS permission settings


hi i've created group of users in w2k3 suppose able read/save files cannot delete; 1 user has permission set correctly while rest of users cannot save or rename files.
strange question since of these users belongs same group how come other users not able amend files except one? users editing office 2007 files such excel or word. i've tried rebooted user pc result same.

please grant group of detailed following ntfs security permission , check if can fullfill demand.

1. right-click on file , select properties.

2. click security tab, click advanced button

3. uncheck checkbox "allow inheritable permissions parent propagate object , child objects, include these entries explicitly defiend here."

4. remove

5. add group following rule.

select allow permission except "delete" permission group

6. add rule following

deny delete group.
