Applying group policy shortcuts policy - slow login.
hi there,
i doing fine tuning on windows 2008/citrix server farm. , trying improve login times.
there approximately 10-12 second hang on 'applying group policy shortcuts policy'. if can eliminate or decrease make significant difference users.
shortcuts being implemented (updated) via gpo approximately 20 favorites.

complete overview, please enable "configure shortcuts preference logging , tracing" setting under computer configuration\policies\administrative templates\system\group policy\logging , tracing.
enabling group policy preferences debug logging using rsat

ReplyDeleteTo resolve slow login caused by Group Policy Domain esia shortcuts, disable the "Shortcut" Group Policy processing or reduce the number of shortcut policies applied.
