VM does not show in the Hyper-v by following step 4 & 5 of this document

step 11: modify settings of virtual machine
if need modify settings of virtual machine, must follow specific order. step walks through process showing how modify boot order in virtual machine.
to reconfigure virtual machine
1. in failover cluster management snap-in, expand services , applications if not expanded. 2. under services , applications, select failovertest. 3. in results pane, right-click virtual machine resource , click properties. 4. click offline actions tab, , select shut down. click ok. 5. in results pane, right-click failover , click take resource offline. 6. open hyper-v manager. under virtual machines, right-click failovertest , click settings. 7. in left pane, click bios. 8. under startup order, click ide , click ok. 9. switch failover cluster management snap-in. 10. in results pane, right-click failover , click bring resource online. 11. right-click failover again, , click properties. 12. click offline actions tab, , select save. click ok. |
after did 4. click offline actions tab, , select shut down. click ok.
5. in results pane, right-click failover , click take resource offline
the vm not show in hyper-v manager anymore, how should modify vm settings since vm not show in hyper-v???? then, after bring vm online through failover cluster, vm shows up.
