1. if have primary , secondary server i'd enable replication on, looks have setup active directory can use http. please confirm.2. scenario follows. have server acts file server, domain controller, , sql server. configured 16gm ram. has c: drive set on raid1 partition, d: (data drive) setup on raid 10 partition has sql data files, , l:drive setup on raid 10 partition has user files , sql log files.trying figure out how set server virtual server. use 1 large virtual drive os , data or should creating different drives?advice or direction appreciated
too many questions in 1 single post :)
1) can p2v migration it's recommended re-provision sql server virtual machine scratch. assuming production.
2) booting raid1 , keeping content (especially vms) on obr10 (one big raid10) perfect way go. keep content on it. not create separate luns , partitions it's effective way eithe steal iops config (as not spindles take care of i/o) or complicate management. or both :)
3) not clear relation between replication , active directory..................
