How can I view MSS: GPO settings in Windows 2008 GPMC; How can I modify Computer\Administrative Template Sub Components (am getting access denied)

i writing member server 2008 gpo, running few dificulties:

-> initially, copied member server 2003 gpo; modified gpmc on windows server 2008 (standard, r1).  have largely finished policy, cannot figure out how enable viewing mss: settings - nor able modify settings under comptuer\administrative templates.

firstly: enable viewing of mss: settings in gpmc on windows server 2008 & cannot figure out how so. (my organization not allow windows vista, nor windows 7 workstations on network @ time.) articles on subject state easier when had xp - have scripts stated run on vista/7.

secondly: when attempt modify settings under computer\administrative templates\windows components\...  access denied.  member of enterprise administrators & have given account full permissions on parts of gpo no avail.  have copied initial gpo working on in case had opened it.  same result: access denied on things like: "...\terminal services\remote desktop connection client: "do not allow supported plug , play device redirection"" or "...\windows explorer: turn off heap termination of corruption.

 

any be.. helpful.

based on original posting, have 2008 server use access mss settings. in testing, toolkit deploys on os.

alternatively, can use link posted in last response deploy windows xp compatible version.

WMI Repository 4GB limit - Win 2003 Ent Question

Event ID 1302 (error 1307) DFS replication service encountered an error while writing to the debug log file

hello. we @ step 0 of migration frs dfsr sysvol replication on windows 2008r2 dc. every time run powershell dfsrmig / getmigrationstate says: "unable create dfsr migration log file. error 1307. all domain controllers have migrated global state 'start'. migration has reached consistent state on domain controllers. succeeded." it creates event id 1302 in "dfs replication" event log, explaining error 1307 means: "this security id may not assigned ownder of object ". i already checked space limits, quotas, permissions on c:\windows\debug according microsoft support article unable fix it. although, there new entries added dfsr00095.txt log file despite error. dfsrxxxx file has not been archived .gz format, and, beleive, contains dfsr diagnostics , events. here of latest entries: 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm  3354 migration::sysvolmigration::getsysvolreadyflag [mig] sysvol ready 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm   456 migrati
