KCC issue after dcpromo forced removal


hi

i've had forcibly demote server ad (2003) domain , seems fine except following error:

domain controller unable replicate source domain controller until problem corrected.

verify if source domain controller accessible or network connectivity available. 
 
there no record of server in sites & services , if use ntdsutil not find server listed.  think has ad-integrated dns i'd out of depth fooling around dns manager.
