Temporary License limits in RDS

 1st let me not trying avoid purchasing licenses; need figuring out.

   tasked 2 projects in in our new datacenter have resulted in questions rds licensing.

   1.  according 2008r2 rds resource kit pretty straight forward restore licensing server using same hardware, however, have mandate servers in off-site dc virtual. cause problem has seen? (i lab time test in 2 weeks) here info pg667 of rk ==

to functional without having migrate licenses, rd license server restore needs 3 things.

rd license server database directory. licensing registry keys.  crypto keys operating system (those crypto application programming interfaces [apis] use; these machine-specific). required prevent piracy.

if rd license server system state, can restore same hardware , have functioning rd license server. unissued rds cals restored , available.

2. a.) while testing applications new dc have rds environment setup , planning use temporary licenses on isolated network. (no internet access @ all) if have leave environment longer 90 days can install licenses clearinghouse without internet access?

   b.) since going disaster recovery test area , rebuilt need license server?

thanks help.

1) 'restore same hardware' because system state expecting specific hardware ids. so, restoring different environment may not stable: may not find issue in testing. still - why not create vm - use license server, , restore whole vm? 

2) a) yes. can call on 'phone.

    b) operationally may find don't need license server services work. however, how validating recovering disaster if don't restore services?

WMI Repository 4GB limit - Win 2003 Ent Question

Event ID 1302 (error 1307) DFS replication service encountered an error while writing to the debug log file

hello. we @ step 0 of migration frs dfsr sysvol replication on windows 2008r2 dc. every time run powershell dfsrmig / getmigrationstate says: "unable create dfsr migration log file. error 1307. all domain controllers have migrated global state 'start'. migration has reached consistent state on domain controllers. succeeded." it creates event id 1302 in "dfs replication" event log, explaining error 1307 means: "this security id may not assigned ownder of object ". i already checked space limits, quotas, permissions on c:\windows\debug according microsoft support article unable fix it. although, there new entries added dfsr00095.txt log file despite error. dfsrxxxx file has not been archived .gz format, and, beleive, contains dfsr diagnostics , events. here of latest entries: 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm  3354 migration::sysvolmigration::getsysvolreadyflag [mig] sysvol ready 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm   456 migrati
