how to delete these checkpoints of initial replica

hi,

i plan enable vm replication of vm, stoped @ initial replica, @ last canceled initial replication.

but there several checkpoints of initial replica left.i try delete them, there no option, how can i delete these checkpoints of initial replica?

i have seen posts of similar issue.

one workaround create vm , attach merged disks.

here guide manually merge:

another method is editing snapshot configuration file. (<snapshot_guid>.xml file in snapshot location)

stop vmms service , set start type disable.(it not affect running vms)

edit file , locate the <snapshots> section.

<type type="integer">2</type> represents standard snapshot.

<type type="integer">32768</type> represents recovery snapshot.

change "2" , save. start vmms service , refresh hyper-v manager. able delete them.
