Server 2003 Install Drive letter

i have purchased system builder server 2003 standard r2 operating system , when install os drive letter used i:.  how change c:?  have tried tells me same thing.  can't change volume letter contains system boot.  wonderful.

hi,

after windows setup program finished, cannot change drive letter of system partition boot volume (%windir%) resides. drive letter of hard disk on windows installed hard-coded in registry. if change drive letter, programs in "program files" directory may not run correctly because registry may have pathing old drive letter. changing these drive letters using tools or modifying registry not supported. therefore, avoid unexpected problems, not recommended change drive letter system resides.

to situation, suggest clean install windows server 2003 on c: drive.

regards,

bruce
