Why has Windows 2008 R2 Server Foundation Administrator got limited permissions?

i installing sap server software on microsoft windows 2008 r2 server fe (foundation edition) on hp proliant server.
installation fails due access registry key "hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\silvsc".

the exact error message "silsvc cannot opened. error preventing key being opened. details: access denied."

when use regedit.exe (while logged in as the standard administrator user) to view registration key, reports access denied view properties (let alone change permissions).

  • why registry key entry locked against administrator?
  • can login trustedinstaller user?
  • any other work around's?

it part of the software infrastructure license service, believe more it's part of process applies user limits, doesn't exist in standard version of windows server , reasons tamper unlock unlicensed features.

> can login trustedinstaller user?

you shouldn't have need to.

> other work around's?

as far understand it, sap not supported (by sap) on windows server foundation, need upgrade standard version.
