AD Sites and Services question

i'm hoping can explain me sites , services.  i don't think grasp i'm supposed do manually , automatic way isn't working out because keeps going 1 site no matter if set preferred bridgehead server or not.

ok, here our situation.  we have 7 locations domain controllers.
2 sites in ohio including corporate office - corp has 3 t1's , moving ds3 soon.
1 site in california - has 2 t1's
3 sites in virginia - 2 have 10mb fiber line , 1 has 3 t1's
1 site in maryland - has 1 t1

thinking should create few inter-site transports follows:
1) west coast ~ have california site , 1 dc corporate office
2) ohio ~ contain ohio dc's
3) east coast ~ contain maryland site , 1 dc corporate office
4) virginia ~ contain virginia dc's , 1 dc corporate office

i'm not positive corporate office should included in of these sites.  i believe should otherwise can't see how stuff wouldn't replicate throughout forest.

appreciate if enlighten me on problem , tell me if have correct design or tell me needs changed.

you

ryan,
this sounds fine. have routing between sites not directly connected (i.e. can computers in site communicate computers in site c, though each of them has direct connection site b)? if not, should disable automatic site link bridging...
