4k sector size on 2012 R2 Host with Fusion IO cards

i have host server running 2012 r2 fusion io sx300 pcie accelerator. default sector format 512. wondering if should use 4k sector size instead?  fusion , hp have not been helpful.

the guests mix of 2012 r2 (vhdx) , 2008 r2 (vhd).

4k sector size disks came in order allow larger size disks becoming.  understanding, fusion io memory media , not spinning media, therefore, access handled differently.

in general, when format disks specify block size.  default block size of 4k (not sector size) fit type of io performed os disks.  if using fusion io sql, might benefit formatting larger block size.  blocking factor is dependent upon work load.
