Folder Redirection with Windows 2008R2 and Windows 7

hello,

i'm having problems folder redirection follows:

1) created policy redirect windows 7 "documents" example share \\fs1\staff\user - chose have policy redirect local profile when policy removed.  now... since these folders created didn't allow system grant exclusive rights user. chose have existing documents moved.

2) want move windows 7 "documents" folder 1 level deep each user.  instead of \\fs1\staff\user, want \\fs1\staff\user\documents.  modified policy point new location , left other options same.

3) tried login test user , no go - still points old location.

4) removed gpo link because had redirect local profile option enabled thinking re-direcdt local profile, creat new policy redirect server.  again, no go - didn't redirect local profile, left @ previous location.

5) took @ debug logs, i'm not seeing obvious.  appears thinks there no changes folder redirect????

6) tried create new policy wanted , didn't work either.  also, removing new policy had no effect.

any appreciated.

jeff

hmm... being stupid...  had couple of problems:

1) can't move folders nested folder within existing redirected structure - makes sense definetely problematic.  can still redirect there, have un-check move documents option.  guess better migration path migrate temp share, migrate back...  or better yet, not in problem :)

2) had security group bound gp , test user wasn't being affected...

anyway, maybe #1 someone.
