Best Practice For Migrating Entire Office To New Subnet Active Directory

hi,

i have scenario 1 branch office planning migrate new subnet.

  • the organisation using class network 10.x.x.x.
  • the brand office exiting subnet 10.29.x.x/16 , planning migrate 10.39.x.x/16.
  • branch office under same ad organisation example.com , remain same example.com after migration.

the reason migrate new subnet exiting network infrastructure combine devices inside /16 subnet, divide into sub subnets each department new subnet 10.39.x.x/24. entire branch office inside 10.39.x.x/16 sub subnets of 10.39.x.x/24 after migration.

please advise below questions or ideas.

  1. what possibility migration less effort?
  2. do suggest build new dc or migrate exiting dc new subnet?
  3. is there best practice relating kind of scenario?

really appreciate advise , idea...

chan

what possibility migration less effort?  >>> can change client computers ip & subnet's dhcp.also can search script server side.

do suggest build new dc or migrate exiting dc new subnet?  >>> don't need build new dc,you can change static ip of domain controller,check article;
