How to disable/cancel existing offline folder caching for Windows 7 Via GPO?

i'm looking way rid of offline folders on desktop workstations including windows 7.

we have policy disable already, on windows 7 grey out settings in user's interface.  now, offline folders still enabled on redirected folders (my docs), buttons configure grayed out.  syncing has not been disabled.

we have these settings:

if enable setting, users must manually select files wish made available offline.

if disable setting or not configure it, redirected shell folders automatically made available offline. subfolders within redirected folders made available offline.

note: setting not prevent files being automatically cached if network share configured "automatic caching", nor affect availability of "make available offline" menu option in user interface.

note: not enable setting unless users not need access of redirected files in event network or server holding redirected files becomes unavailable." gpmc_settingname="do not automatically make redirected folders available offline" gpmc_settingpath="user configuration/administrative templates/system/folder redirection" gpmc_supported="at least windows xp professional or windows server 2003 family" href="">do not automatically make redirected folders available offline

setting disables "view files" button on offline files tab. result, users cannot use offline files folder view or open copies of network files stored on computer. also, cannot use folder view characteristics of offline files, such server status, type, or location.

setting not prevent users working offline or saving local copies of files available offline. also, not prevent them using other programs, such windows explorer, view offline files.

setting appears in computer configuration , user configuration folders. if both settings configured, setting in computer configuration takes precedence on setting in user configuration.

tip: view offline files folder, in windows explorer, on tools menu, click folder options, click offline files tab, , click "view files."" gpmc_settingname="prevent use of offline files folder" gpmc_settingpath="computer configuration/administrative templates/network/offline files" gpmc_supported="windows server 2003, windows xp, , windows 2000 operating systems only" href="">prevent use of offline files folder
enabled
prevents users changing cache configuration settings.

setting disables "synchronize offline files before logging off" option on offline files tab. prevents users trying change option while setting controls it.

if enable setting, offline files synchronized. full synchronization ensures offline files complete , current.

if disable setting, system performs quick synchronization. quick synchronization ensures files complete, not ensure current.

if not configure setting, system performs quick synchronization default, users can change option.

setting appears in computer configuration , user configuration folders. if both settings configured, setting in computer configuration takes precedence on setting in user configuration.

tip: change synchronization method without changing setting, in windows explorer, on tools menu, click folder options, click offline files tab, , select "synchronize offline files before logging off" option." gpmc_settingname="synchronize offline files before logging off" gpmc_settingpath="computer configuration/administrative templates/network/offline files" gpmc_supported="windows server 2003, windows xp, , windows 2000 operating systems only" href="">synchronize offline files before logging off
disabled

if enable setting, offline files synchronized whenever computer suspended. setting synchronization action "quick" ensures files in cache complete. setting synchronization action "full" ensures cached files , folders up-to-date current version.

if disable or not configuring setting, files not synchronized when computer suspended.

note: if computer suspended closing display on portable computer, files not synchronized. if multiple users logged on computer @ time computer suspended, synchronization not performed." gpmc_settingname="synchronize offline files before suspend" gpmc_settingpath="computer configuration/administrative templates/network/offline files" gpmc_supported="windows server 2003, windows xp, , windows 2000 operating systems only" href="">synchronize offline files before suspend
disabled

despite this, sync center still enabled , syncing docs.  group policy results shows policy applied workstations.  the policy being read , applied, doesn't i'm trying do.
