Adding a new DC on a different subnet into an existing network.

i'm new admin in old environment, , there 1 windows 2000 server have been unsure why on network. on separate subnet (192.168.2.x) our primary network (192.168.1.x). domain specserv.domain.com while primary domain our network apex.domain.com.

an old employee has returned , needs access files on server. cannot connect server on network, , on server there no internet access. when ping 192.168.2.1 machine on network reply. not have access hardware passwords of switches.

anything can computer joined in network? possibly easy way suspend it's entire configuration , join via dhcp apex.domain.com domain? can add our apex.domain.com dc acknowledge , allow internet , connectivity specserv?



ip config on server in question:
ip / perferred dns: 192.168.2.2
gateway: 192.168.2.1
sm: 255.255.255.0

when ping 192.168.1.1 computer, no reply, when computer on our network attempts ping gateway address of subnet (192.168.2.1), replies come through.

could ping gateway 192.168.2.1 on server 192.168.2.2, result of trace ip in subnet 192.168.1.x on server 192.168.2.2.

according description, far as i'm concerned, seems routing problem.

WMI Repository 4GB limit - Win 2003 Ent Question

Event ID 1302 (error 1307) DFS replication service encountered an error while writing to the debug log file

hello. we @ step 0 of migration frs dfsr sysvol replication on windows 2008r2 dc. every time run powershell dfsrmig / getmigrationstate says: "unable create dfsr migration log file. error 1307. all domain controllers have migrated global state 'start'. migration has reached consistent state on domain controllers. succeeded." it creates event id 1302 in "dfs replication" event log, explaining error 1307 means: "this security id may not assigned ownder of object ". i already checked space limits, quotas, permissions on c:\windows\debug according microsoft support article unable fix it. although, there new entries added dfsr00095.txt log file despite error. dfsrxxxx file has not been archived .gz format, and, beleive, contains dfsr diagnostics , events. here of latest entries: 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm  3354 migration::sysvolmigration::getsysvolreadyflag [mig] sysvol ready 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm   456 migrati
