user lockouts


i have frequent problems users accounts locked out after changing passwords. know users have set scheduled task or mapped drive or such. users quite bit of hot desking, possible tell pc or ip address locking account out can identify problem?

below simple way check computer account getting locked

1. download microsoft lockout status tool below link

  http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15201

2. install on domain controller

3. put target name (user account getting locked) on target tab

4.it list out date/time , dc on account lock out events happening

5.check latest date , time , dc name,. login dc evet getting generated.

6.go security event------>search 644 (microsoft server 203) or 4740 (w2k8)----->open event

7.it list account information , computer name account gettng locked

8.login computer , check services or schduled task
