HDD problem

i hope i'm in correct place ask question. 

i'm new windows sever , i'm working windows server 2008 r2. have trouble hdd. hard drive no longer visible in server manager under storage management . can't see on computer either, i'm able run applications use databases stored in hdd. drive mapped not accessible. when install updates , restart server able see drive in both computer , storage management couple of days or weeks, later disappears. if drive working, why not visible time? have research not found anything.

if can me. in advance help.

did found event log when disk disapper? most manufactuer have hardware monitor log please check whether there have hardware error log.

if computer  can shutdown in work days , computer support disk hot-plug please disable the hot-plug disk in bios check whether is the hardware issue.

yesterday drive wen out , have following erros. 

"the file system structure on disk corrupt , unusable. please run chkdsk utility on volume e:."

and 

"an error detected on device \device\harddisk2\dr3 during paging operation."

i think drive dying.

WMI Repository 4GB limit - Win 2003 Ent Question

Change home folder default permission?

i have searched on , can't seem find similar trying do. using windows server 2003 active directory. when create new user account on domain, use profile tab specify home directory user. when user logs in first time, active directory creates folder in specified path. working correctly. problem gives user full control on folder. has caused lot of problems because "clever" users have discovered thay can change permission on folder or subfolders beneath it. because don't want staff looking @ "sensitive" files. of course doesn't work since can take ownership of file , give myself permissions. causes trouble failed backups, inability scan these folders viruses, migration new storage etc. on occasion 1 of these users call me , ask file or folder restored, , @ point discover not have backup of files , cannot restore them. give them lecture, have on 2500 users, , can't talk them all. right have create account , login teh folder created, go take away full contr...
