Is it possible to automate scheduled control of local user accounts (activate/deactivate)

i wonder if there way somehow automate activation , deactivation of local user accounts on windows servers?
background we're running 150+ windows 2003 servers developers , users need possibility log on server via remoted desktop perform various tasks. have local user accounts (mostly local administrator access) , unlimited access servers can result in should not , applications (for example) on server stop working should.

have started deactivate local accounts allow access server upon request user wants local user account activated he/she can perform tasks , after disable account again.

inform in advance , question comes up.
wonder if there way, either using application or using scripts, activate or disable local user accounts on server/servers? let's have information want account active next tuesday between 8 , 3 pm , input application or run script takes care of this? it's ok manually when few accounts affected when number increases impossible manually.

know perhaps not best way allow access servers it's alternative @ moment.

thank you!

best regards,
martin

hi martin,

according description, understand scheduled activate / deactivate local user account.

as far know, group policy preference local group extension can disable / enable local user accounts.

please refer to:

if not have vista or windows server 2008 machine in environment, rather suggest use restricted groups policy settings restrict local administrators group domain group policy.
