Microsoft Virtual Server Error when creating a 2008 Server as a guest on 2003 Host System


i have dell poweredge 2850 server running windows 2003 standard server sp 2 & running microsoft virtual server 2005 r2. i'm attempting create win 2008 virtual server using virtual server 2005 application.

i have a bootable iso (win 2008 server) dvd in cd-rom drive of server. i'm able boot guest operating system iso disc start loading operating system, keep getting error on boot up.

"attempting load 64-bit application, cpu not compatible 64-bit mode"

as far know server has 64 bit processors, has seen issue before?

  vpc , virtual server cannot run 64-bit guest os, regardless of underlying hardware. need run 32-bit version of server 2008 under virtual server. (note server 2008 r2 available in 64-bit versions, cannot run under virtaul server).
