Windows server 2012 essentials and office 365 or Windows SBS 2011

hi,

i setup small office enviroment dads company , having trouble making decision on best way forward software , licences.

i have 2 proliant dl380g7 servers, 1 spare, same spec

option 1

buy server 2012 essentials , office 365.

question, can buy oem copy, issue if server 1 had issue , wanted swap disks server 2 in order things , running quickly?

question2, can use existing office licences connect office 365 services exchange or need buy premium 365 suit , desktop versions included.

option 2

use sbs 2011 , local mail services

question, can still buy it? , same question regarding oem licencing.

any advise appreciated.

about licensing issue oem windows server essentials edition, first of all, cannot have mor ethan 1 essentials edition on domain.

windows server 2012 r2 essentials edition entitles run 1 instance in physical ose , 1 instances in virtual ose. if want run more 1 virtual ose (for example, have lightly or highly virtualized environment) can assigning windows server 2012 r2 standard or datacenter license server. second windows server 2012 r2 essentials license cannot assigned server increase allowed virtual oses on server.

for sbs 2011, product discontinued since december,31. 2013 price list.

you can purchase essentials version , office 365 or windows server 2012 standard + exchange server 2013 on premises.

WMI Repository 4GB limit - Win 2003 Ent Question

Event ID 1302 (error 1307) DFS replication service encountered an error while writing to the debug log file

hello. we @ step 0 of migration frs dfsr sysvol replication on windows 2008r2 dc. every time run powershell dfsrmig / getmigrationstate says: "unable create dfsr migration log file. error 1307. all domain controllers have migrated global state 'start'. migration has reached consistent state on domain controllers. succeeded." it creates event id 1302 in "dfs replication" event log, explaining error 1307 means: "this security id may not assigned ownder of object ". i already checked space limits, quotas, permissions on c:\windows\debug according microsoft support article unable fix it. although, there new entries added dfsr00095.txt log file despite error. dfsrxxxx file has not been archived .gz format, and, beleive, contains dfsr diagnostics , events. here of latest entries: 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm  3354 migration::sysvolmigration::getsysvolreadyflag [mig] sysvol ready 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm   456 migrati
