migrate local profiles to domain profile like sbs 2003 connect computer does

i wondering best method of migrating local profiles domain profiles after joining computer domain?  able script sbs 2003 when connects computers domain.

i'm using windows server 2008 , windows xp professional machines.  i've been looking @ usmt 3 , moveuser.exe options wanted opinions other users.  1 downfall see usmt seems have run scanstate create temporary location collected data.  seems waste of time , space since i'm migrating same computer , same os.

i haven't been able find documentation on moveuser.exe.

thanks reply.  i'm looking quickest way of performing action , found moveuser windows resource kit tools job more effeciently.  did find example of how tool works.  join computer domain , login domain user migrating.  log off domain , login local computer using account other user going migrate.  run following command:  moveuser  “username” “domain\username” /y

this copies profile "username" domain profile "domain\username".  /y tells action continue if experiences errors.
