Can't Remove Read-Only Attribute

i have 2008 r2 server. have disabled uac.

i have newly created folder want share domain users. folder default gets attrib of ro.

i have used attrib -r +s on folder in question no success.

i have added reg key in hklm\software\ms\win\cv\explorer\usesystemforsystemfolders reg_dword=1

i have full local admin access.

each time remove read-only feature comes back. extremely frustrating , stupid idea ms. wasn't issue in 2003 , knowledge don't remember hearing admin community complaining wished folders auto-created ro rights.

what deal , how turn crap off??!?!

this perfect example of why linux , superior os.

ms stop trying messing around os crappy enough without trying make better...you ideas suck listen user forums saying. make open , admins....this is ridiculous!

read not enabled default. windows 2008 , above exhibit same behavior windows 2003/xp, in case, when create folder, read checkbox greyed out (in 2003, grey box background , grey check, in 2008/r2 grey check).

coincidentally, explained how validate earlier today in thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-us/winserversecurity/thread/eaa02681-6f7e-46c2-8731-e072c8e3595d
