WIN2012 R2 DFSR with EMC NAS

plan install win2012 r2 dfs server. we hope advantage of replication can overcome speed issue on wlan.

we have emc vnx5300 nas hold shared folders. then, branch users open files in shared folders slow speed issue on wlan. we plan use win2012 r2 dfs server share these shared folder on nas. concern our shared folders not on dfs server local disks (they on nas). so, performance perfect or not when both dfs server , emc nas work together? why ask question have performance issue that explain above. want to let them work fix issue. if both can't provider perfect performance, can't reach our goal.

hi george,

above cannot confirm if nas used dfs folder target or running dfs replication. search result supported may still need confirm before continue.

dfs should bit in current situation, users in same site of new windows 2012 r2 attempting access server instead of crossing wlan nas.

however if wlan slow, affect replication between windows 2012 r2 , nas - if files cannot in-syncing still cause issues - example branch users cannot recent data when accessing windows 2012 r2 not replicated yet.

WMI Repository 4GB limit - Win 2003 Ent Question

Event ID 1302 (error 1307) DFS replication service encountered an error while writing to the debug log file

hello. we @ step 0 of migration frs dfsr sysvol replication on windows 2008r2 dc. every time run powershell dfsrmig / getmigrationstate says: "unable create dfsr migration log file. error 1307. all domain controllers have migrated global state 'start'. migration has reached consistent state on domain controllers. succeeded." it creates event id 1302 in "dfs replication" event log, explaining error 1307 means: "this security id may not assigned ownder of object ". i already checked space limits, quotas, permissions on c:\windows\debug according microsoft support article unable fix it. although, there new entries added dfsr00095.txt log file despite error. dfsrxxxx file has not been archived .gz format, and, beleive, contains dfsr diagnostics , events. here of latest entries: 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm  3354 migration::sysvolmigration::getsysvolreadyflag [mig] sysvol ready 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm   456 migrati
