Event ID 1131 & 18

i have 2 ts server 1 remote desktop , other remote app.  have client can't connect using remoteapp.

the error show: the remote session disconnected because there no remote desktop license servers available provide license. please contact server administrator. 

i found few article registery removed hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\mslicensing key , restart, didn't helped.

i have connection ts license server (2008 r2 standard). remoteapp server (2008r2 enterprise) can ping ts license server , rd session host configuration shows list of ts license server , showing available license, used 4 out 50. installed rd license service on remoteapp server , trying connect ts license server, won't connect.

regarding event id 18, please check if rd licensing server activated.

event id 18 — remote desktop license server activation

regarding event id 1131, seems rd session host server cannot communicate rd licensing server. please check if can ping each other both via ip address , server_fqdn.

also, please perform following 2 tasks check if there error.

review configuration of remote desktop license server

identify possible licensing problems rd session host server

in addition, notice licensing mode per device, please check if meets rds cals purchased.

WMI Repository 4GB limit - Win 2003 Ent Question

Change home folder default permission?

i have searched on , can't seem find similar trying do. using windows server 2003 active directory. when create new user account on domain, use profile tab specify home directory user. when user logs in first time, active directory creates folder in specified path. working correctly. problem gives user full control on folder. has caused lot of problems because "clever" users have discovered thay can change permission on folder or subfolders beneath it. because don't want staff looking @ "sensitive" files. of course doesn't work since can take ownership of file , give myself permissions. causes trouble failed backups, inability scan these folders viruses, migration new storage etc. on occasion 1 of these users call me , ask file or folder restored, , @ point discover not have backup of files , cannot restore them. give them lecture, have on 2500 users, , can't talk them all. right have create account , login teh folder created, go take away full contr...
