Task Scheduler Not Running VBScript Correctly
have frustrating issue task scheduler i’m hoping can shed light on me. i’ve scheduled task runs vbscript collects users in administrators group several vm’s. problem when run task windows server 2008 r2 64-bit partial list of users or none @ all. if run same script windows server 2012, works fine. output txt file.
i've ran script task scheduler , manually using elevate privileges , getting same result. if run same script system, works fine. there on servers might restricting access admin groups?
i’ve tried these settings post:
1) make sure task set "configure windows vista or windows 2008" on first page of task properties (under "general" tab) 2) make sure task set "start in" folder contains batch file: open task properties, click on "actions" tab, click on action , "edit" button @ bottom. in "edit action" window there field "start in (optional)" set path batch file. 3) make sure task running account has explicit "full access" permissions these things: .bat file itself, folder containing .bat file, , target files/folders affected .bat script. inherited permissions didn't seem work me. 4) make sure account running task member of local "administrators" group machine 5) make sure task set "run whether logged on or not" 6) task should run expected output when right-click on task , select "run" if run when logged off.
thanks in advance.
