unlocking the microsoft word

i dont know if im in right place or not. i've been on hold w microsoft on hour. 

 

 i have problem micrsoft word 2007. typing in program , somehow locked keyboard in program. gives me message "this modificationis not allowed because selection locked".

 

please assist me in unlocking this.

again can type fine in other programs.

hi,

it sounds you're in protected doc. go tools>protection & see if there command in submenu reads "unprotect document". if attempt remove protection may prompted password. 

if not protected form, possibly application has not been activated, or trial version has expired.
