TS Gateway issue with Russian locale account name

hi all,

it seems have encountered error pertaining ts gateway, causes fail valid log on attempts.

here the details: dc machine (windows server 2008 r2 sp1) acts both terminal server , ts gateway. domain (demo) has built-in administrative account (called demo/Администратор) in russian locale. when attempt made log in via rdp (from windows 7 machine) directly in terminal server - works fine. log on goes via ts gateway - fails, , security event log contains record stating account demo/???????????? not found. so, basically, instead of russian letters account name contains ? symbols. error occurs when using either account name , password log in, , when using digital certificate (which contains upn Администратор@demo).

at same time log on account name contains letters (like test) works fine. using account name latin letters except 1 russian in middle again leads security event log error account demo/t?st not found.

i appreciate on matter.

thank question. do install ad\rds\rd gateway roles on same server?

 

for issue, can deploy rd session host , rd gateway on same server, can work well. not recommend deploy active directory on rd gateway, because rd gateway needs 2 nics, active directory registers records in dns in form of srv records signify ad's resource , service locations. when there multiple nics, each nic registers. if client, or dc queries dns dc, may wrong record.

 

so should deploy ad , rd roles in different servers.

WMI Repository 4GB limit - Win 2003 Ent Question

Event ID 1302 (error 1307) DFS replication service encountered an error while writing to the debug log file

hello. we @ step 0 of migration frs dfsr sysvol replication on windows 2008r2 dc. every time run powershell dfsrmig / getmigrationstate says: "unable create dfsr migration log file. error 1307. all domain controllers have migrated global state 'start'. migration has reached consistent state on domain controllers. succeeded." it creates event id 1302 in "dfs replication" event log, explaining error 1307 means: "this security id may not assigned ownder of object ". i already checked space limits, quotas, permissions on c:\windows\debug according microsoft support article unable fix it. although, there new entries added dfsr00095.txt log file despite error. dfsrxxxx file has not been archived .gz format, and, beleive, contains dfsr diagnostics , events. here of latest entries: 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm  3354 migration::sysvolmigration::getsysvolreadyflag [mig] sysvol ready 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm   456 migrati
