Move WSUS To new server and New Database

i have wsus server on sql2005 want move. want put wsus database on dedicated virtual sql 2005 server , wsus server install on seperate virtual server. both new virtual servers are guests on same windows 2008 hyper-v host. have sql server setup wsus database copied , attached new sql server. problem come trying wsus interface attach remote server.

i have question part:

on database server:

  • to verify permissions on instance of sql server, in sql server management studio, open instance, click security, , click logins. wsus server account should listed. if not, need add it.
  • to verify permissions on database, right-click database, select properties, , click permissions. wsus server account should listed. if server account not listed, need add it.
  • to verify members of webservice role, under wsus database, click roles, right-click webservice, , click properties. front-end server account should listed member of role. if server account not listed, need add it.

what wsus server account? i'm thinking domainname\computername$, right?

yes right, it's machine account of your  front end server

WMI Repository 4GB limit - Win 2003 Ent Question

Change home folder default permission?

i have searched on , can't seem find similar trying do. using windows server 2003 active directory. when create new user account on domain, use profile tab specify home directory user. when user logs in first time, active directory creates folder in specified path. working correctly. problem gives user full control on folder. has caused lot of problems because "clever" users have discovered thay can change permission on folder or subfolders beneath it. because don't want staff looking @ "sensitive" files. of course doesn't work since can take ownership of file , give myself permissions. causes trouble failed backups, inability scan these folders viruses, migration new storage etc. on occasion 1 of these users call me , ask file or folder restored, , @ point discover not have backup of files , cannot restore them. give them lecture, have on 2500 users, , can't talk them all. right have create account , login teh folder created, go take away full contr...
