domain GPO merges with, instead of replaces, Local Security Policy

this weirdest problem i've seen gpos. when checking gpedit , secpol on local client, xp showing merged values of both domain policy , local security policy in user rights section.  gpresult , rsop reporting correctly domain level values set on local security policy.  here's know , tried:

* all xp computers on same build numbers...most working properly, not

* computers in same ou , receiving same gpos

* removed domain, recreated new secedit.sdb, still same issue

* gpupdate /force shows success

any thoughts or suggestions?

hi,

the group policy processing order local group policy object -> site -> domain -> organizational units. if group policies not conflicting, merged. if group policies conflicting, precedence organizational units > domain > site > local group policy object. more information, please refer following microsoft technet article:

group policy processing , precedence

if not case, please describe how did configure , link gpo in detail can reproduce , analyze issue?

regards,
