Remove WSUS 3.0 SP1 on SBS

sbs 2003, wsus 2.0 installed , working. updated via automatic updates 3.0 sp1. apparently not correct way not working. uninstalled 3.0 via add/remove programs, got hung , sat in same spot on 45 minutes. services started shutdown (smtp, routing & remote access, etc.) ended task. restarted server , came except of course wsus.   not show in add/remove programs. wsus , wsus database folder still there.
following sbs wsus documentation uninstalled r2 in anticipation of reinstalling r2 , wsus 2.0. however, when run setup r2 cd get:

setup has encountered error , cannot continue.

details ms error report:
eventtype : sbsr2     p1 : setup.exe     p2 : 5.2.3580.0    
p3 : invalidoperation     p4 : ntprocessmanager_getprocessinfos     p5 : 385
p6 : getprocessinfos     p7 : getprocessinfos    

and error report contents:

i cleared temp files , tried again still no go.

there update r2 listed in add/remove programs, 940357. when try remove it lists many services may stop working have not removed it.

i don't want complicate things server @ sp1. exchange sp2 sbs sp1. should go sp2 before messing r2 more?  the previous consultant indicated had installed sp2 apparently not.

i'm guessing inablity run setup cd not related wsus 3.0 troubles though hard tell.

WMI Repository 4GB limit - Win 2003 Ent Question

Event ID 1302 (error 1307) DFS replication service encountered an error while writing to the debug log file

hello. we @ step 0 of migration frs dfsr sysvol replication on windows 2008r2 dc. every time run powershell dfsrmig / getmigrationstate says: "unable create dfsr migration log file. error 1307. all domain controllers have migrated global state 'start'. migration has reached consistent state on domain controllers. succeeded." it creates event id 1302 in "dfs replication" event log, explaining error 1307 means: "this security id may not assigned ownder of object ". i already checked space limits, quotas, permissions on c:\windows\debug according microsoft support article unable fix it. although, there new entries added dfsr00095.txt log file despite error. dfsrxxxx file has not been archived .gz format, and, beleive, contains dfsr diagnostics , events. here of latest entries: 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm  3354 migration::sysvolmigration::getsysvolreadyflag [mig] sysvol ready 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm   456 migrati
