Windows Server 2012 Cluster shutdown procedures

what proper way shut down cluster?

we have been testing find way have node shutdown without vms moving on place.

we have 3 node cluster in production, test different shutdown procedures have set 2 node cluster share in node , file share majority.

my goal shut down cluster without of vms moving different host.

thus far have tried pausing nodes not drain roles specified. have 1 role off , other running. understand in ha cluster ideally want of roles transfer online host whether running or not, there has way force role stay on failure. right now, if have shut down our cluster in event power out , run out of battery, not know vm when come online.

i understand can specify preferred node vm, there way set cluster when node shut down vms not transfer? looking create powershell script run ups when reach run time, have no idea process is, don't know how script in line.

any suggestions appreciated. until keep reading , testing.

what difference make node vm using?  understand saying how doing it, guess don't understand what trying accomplish.  people build clusters because want vms stay , running.  powershell, can manipulate vms within cluster.  maybe explanation of needs done instead of how trying helpful.

WMI Repository 4GB limit - Win 2003 Ent Question

Event ID 1302 (error 1307) DFS replication service encountered an error while writing to the debug log file

hello. we @ step 0 of migration frs dfsr sysvol replication on windows 2008r2 dc. every time run powershell dfsrmig / getmigrationstate says: "unable create dfsr migration log file. error 1307. all domain controllers have migrated global state 'start'. migration has reached consistent state on domain controllers. succeeded." it creates event id 1302 in "dfs replication" event log, explaining error 1307 means: "this security id may not assigned ownder of object ". i already checked space limits, quotas, permissions on c:\windows\debug according microsoft support article unable fix it. although, there new entries added dfsr00095.txt log file despite error. dfsrxxxx file has not been archived .gz format, and, beleive, contains dfsr diagnostics , events. here of latest entries: 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm  3354 migration::sysvolmigration::getsysvolreadyflag [mig] sysvol ready 20150908 08:47:27.867 11616 sysm   456 migrati
