hello, i'm trying setup wds on windows server standard 2012 r2 update after having used wds on w2k3 many years. i can deploy images using 2012 server fine, whenever try capture image , select upload, error message "a specified logon session not exist. may have been terminated." cannot upload image simultaneously. i tracked down error using event viewer , looks 2012 disconnecting me right after logging in because administrator login somehow considered anonymous. how enable uploads? change in group policy? below events: successful login: log name:      security source:        microsoft-windows-security-auditing date:          8/30/2015 12:17:53 pm event id:      4624 task category: logon level:         information keywords:      audit success user:  ...

i've found appears bug in ts remoteapp manager. i'm having terrible time figuring out submit bug reports windows server 2008, i'll start posting here welcome suggestions on else should post fixed. hello, i'm pretty @ end of rope here , hoping have suggestions. we brought kaspersky endpoint security demo server testing. this is physical server , connects off site pc's @ our stores not connected our corp lan. set port forwarding thru firewall , working fine. now problem. we're moving forward production implementation , decided bring 2008 r2 hyper-v server , install endpoint security server on vm. brought server , remote client not talk new vm server. server ip is same , nothing has changed on firewall. if re-connect old demo server, client can connect immediately. the hyper-v server setup 4 nics. one nic setup management network , 1 setup external virtual switch. vm connected virtual switch , vm on server. connection seems ok since have internet access on vm. have tried disabling windows firewall on vm no luck. so i'm pretty sure hyper-v server blocking or not allowing port traffic thru, after hours of research i'm pretty sure it's not suppose...

we have windows server 2003 std sp2 terminal server 4 gb of ram on it, , averages around 15 simultaneous users.  we're running office 2007 sp2 on server.  our training & compliance department creates form letters use our insurance agency management software, , whatever reason server hangs when dealing ask fields.  on first ask popup, winword.exe process hang @ around 25%.  if hit cancel, go on next field, although @ slow rate.  when doing same process on local workstation (not terminal server), there no issues @ all.  ideas? it looks got fixed.  unfortunately, we're still not sure caused problem begin with.  templates created on local machine use by local network users , terminal server users  found if author created or modified templates using the word 2007 installed on terminal servers, word had no issues.  if created or modified templates using locally installed word 2007, caused problems terminal server use...

hi, sorry if posted in wrong area - have tried find ad area, search hasnt provided else useful far.  please move if necessary. i have question relating managing remote site machines.  let me give scenario, ask question, prevent more questions before answers. i manage several thousand windows xp machines installed on remote sites.  each site contains an adsl router , 1-10 machines on site.  each site has own local dhcp scope provided router, in essence there should not 2 machines out there same ip.  (i have checked this).  each site set local site machines members of local workgroup machines running windows xp pro 32bit.  there no domain infrastructure on site.  machines managed via number of 3rd party technologies (pcanywhere, everdream, afaria) pay for, im hoping centralise management of these machines introducing ad , move away these disparate technologies possible.  my question is, our head office location, ther...
