hello, i have fileserver.domain.com and clientxp. i have 2 aliases fileserver.domain.com added via netdom command: alias1.domain.com , alias2.domain.com from clientxp can access both \\fileserver , \\alias1 fine, when trying access \\alias2 error: "you not connected because duplicate name exists on network. go system in control panel change computer name , try again." "alias2" name not used anywhere else in our network. nslookup seems resolve "alias2" correctly clientxp. alias1 added few months ago, can't remember if there additional steps taken make work. i have tried setting disable strict name checking dword 1, seems have no effect in situation. ok seems had restart fileserver, after access file shares on clientxp name of alias2. i have windows server 2008 r2 box running rras acting vpn server and nat. server establishing ipsec tunnel 3rd party. i've managed ipsec tunnel working, , when attempt ping machine on other network via tunnel, packets correctly routed on tunnel. the problem 3rd party sees source of these packets not machine on internal network sent them, external ip (the tunnel endpoint ip) of rras server. preventing replies because decryption failing. how prevent rras applying nat packets moving on ipsec tunnel? want these packets have source of original internal ip came from, other traffic (like web sites) appropriately nat'd. hi, disable esp encryption. network monitor parsers esp can parse inside esp packet if null-encryption being used , full esp packet captured. network monitor cannot parse encrypted portions of ipsec-secured esp traffic when encryption performed in software. however, if encryption performed ipsec hardware offload network adapter, esp packets decrypted when network

currently deploying new printer server w2008 64bit in combinatian 3 terminal servers 2003 32 bit. in past used printui.dll distrubute printers. switch gpo deployment. removed printer drivers terminal servers. printer drivers being deployd the terminal servers using gpo deployment? not case. have add driver manually terminals servers printers work. i've looked gpo parameter computer configuration\windows settings\security settings\local policies\security options\devices , made sure using allowed install drivers. the drivers not deployed, printer connections.  driver has be installed on client for connection created wind print drivers through mechanism dictate, or provide them on print server download. by default on server 2003, users cannot add print drivers on server , i brought 2003 vm online and confirmed did set correct policy. are using group policy preferences group policy client extension or deployed printers , pushprinterconnections.exe? i assume installed 32bi

hi! everyone! i kind of confused of relationship between active directory , mail server. my company uses windows server 2003, , installed active directory, not mail server (smtp server). we can receive , send email through outlook 2007. i tried change settings in outlook 2007 make outlook 2007 forward incoming emails gmail can check business emails wherever go. but cannot make it. after change settings, can see outlook 2007 forwarded email gmail account, when login gmail account, there no email received. i checked our server, , below screen shot. is because didn't set mail server? why can receive , send email without mail server? can tell me relationship between active directory , mail server, , how set forward business emails outlook 2007 gmail account.   thanks in advanced!   as marcin mentioned, appears more of an outlook issue.  you not need mail server on server able have mail services on internal network.   if take @ properties (data file management)
